Part-Time Oracle 11i DBA Needed

Work at Home for remote clients*

Burleson Consulting is seeking hourly, OCP-certified remote DBAs with at least 10-years of Oracle Apps experience to work at home, serving remote clients*.

All potential candidates for Burleson Oracle consultant jobs are required to meet all of the following requirements in four mission-critical areas.

1 - Formal Education 

  • A four-year Degree is required from a fully-accredited USA University in one of the following academic disciplines:  
    • Computer Science
    • Software Engineering
    • BA or MBA in Information Systems (from an AACSB accredited University)
    • Engineering (EE, ME, CE)

Please note that these are minimum requirements, and those with Masters Degrees, Doctoral Degrees and Ivy league graduates are strongly preferred.

2 - Work Experience
 

  • A minimum of 10 years of full-time, progressive experience as an Oracle Apps DBA. Please note that this is a minimum requirement, and most successful BC consultants have over 20 years full-time experience with a variety of database products.
  • Minimum 2 years experience with Oracle 11i.
  • Managed the patch process to the Oracle Applications
  • Experience with A/R, A/P, G/L, Assets and Cash Management.

3 - Certification 

  • All BC consultants are required to possess an Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.

4. US Citizenship 

  • We are unable to sponsor H1-B foreign consultants, and all consultants must possess proof of US citizenship.
  • The following specialized skills are desirable:
  • A Masters Degree or Doctorate Degree from a major University
  • An active US Secret, Top secret or Q-level Security Clearance
  • Experience as an instructor in a classroom environment

(Responsibilities): *Lead and manage a team of GENE IT professionals and contractors in application development and support.
*Leverage and implement GEPS IT strategy and initiatives for business process enhancement and productivity improvement.
*Assist HQ project leaders to identify opportunities for improvement which yield digitization savings.
*Ensure HQ Programs team meets GENE Six Sigma, EHS and Compliance objectives.
*Manage HQ Programs budget.

Qualifications/Requirements:
*Bachelors Degree.
*5+ years of IT related experience, including working with global development centers.
*Green Belt certified (GE employees only).
*Excellent interpersonal, written, & verbal communication skills.

*Familiar with Oracle Applications ERP environment.

Desired: *Black Belt certified (GE employees only).
*Familiar with HR, Finance, Sourcing,

·         Technical understanding of application development and technical infrastructure of Oracle 11i with strong emphasis on Advanced Pricing (QP).

·         Understand Anatomy of Advanced Pricing, pricing structures and technical and performance implications.

·         Facilitate Custom Applications to use Oracle Advanced Pricing

·         Strong analytical skills, ability to work within tight deadlines.

·         Excellent analytical Skills and problem solving skills

·         Strong SQL and PL/SQL experience required.

·         Must have excellent SQL Tuning and Communication skills

·         Ability to work independently or as a part of a team
